Does anyone here have a name for those kids who are goth/punk hybrids? You know the ones... They dress kinda gothy, but dont really yet know many goth band names, so instead they wear shirts and pins that reflect more punk leanings. Now normally i might be thinking that maybe its a fusion style that's been taken up while i wasnt watching, but my observations are that generally this only happens with the less than 20 crowd, so therefor, i assume it's only confusion/immaturity. I mean, who the hell listens to Circle Jerks AND Dead Can Dance?! Also, dont you find it funny that current young punks and goths listen to the EXACT same music that we older ones grew up with 15-20 years ago. Isnt that like someone trying to be a super hippy in the 80's?
Anyways, she was funny, saw a puppy and got happy. I took a picture.
even goth/punks get happy when they see a puppy i think it's just a phase, a way for them to rebel, even though they are just conforming to a stereotype.
How funny that even though she's all goth/punk/whatever, she still takes time out to tweeze the eyebrows. You'd think punks would find that to be pretty stupid. I don't know enough about goths to have any idea as to how they'd feel about it. Whatever.
Nice capture, though. I actually like the girl behind her sticking out her tongue.
But I don't see anything wrong with liking more than one musical style. if your going to say
"Also, dont you find it funny that current young punks and goths listen to the EXACT same music that we older ones grew up with 15-20 years ago."
then you might as well say, whats up with those people listening to Mozart or Beethoven, don't they know that was cool like 200 years ago. I like that more people are starting to cross genres, it opens us all up to being better people, and having a greater world view.
Anyway- not meaning to rant on your DEV, I like it by the way like I've enjoyed all your work. But if you care to discuss more E-mail me.
Hence the term "puppy happy". Ok i made that one up myself. I'm glad you commented lightly on it. As a photographer you kick ass and youre safe to say whatever you want be it observation or judgement.
You've caught the snap at the perfect time. The expression is right at peak right there. I love how her jaw couldnt drop any lower than that. I love how sunrunner put it too - individuality.. but as a group! Rite!
