Have any of you ever talked to a gentleman like this one? On a few occasions, i've been fortunate enough to do so, tho there are far too many opportunities on which i have passed. But let me tell you this, if ever you do get the chance, don't let it walk by. The stories you will hear and the experiences revealed may give you a slightly new perspective on this life. The funny thing being, is that his life is not necessarily so different from yours and mine... the difference is found in the way he interprets that experience. Lessons and wisdom flutter right before our eyes each and every day, all of life's elegant synchronicities, and rarely it seems do we actually stop and pay attention. In him, i see someone who does. That, or he just dropped a bit too much lsd in the 60's. Probably a little of each.
Anyhoo, enough of me tryin to sound so smart.

Enjoy!

He really looks like a strong and special character. And reading you, it's a pity you can post photos only, and no records :)

This is a wonderful shot

You're right - it would be fun to just sit & shoot the breeze with this escapee from the 60's. Sweet shot, the way his hat is framed by the curve of the awning!

I'd never thought of it that way. Thank YOU for that new perspective.

Keep the portraits coming!

Fantastic colors!

I just finished an intense Grindhouse flick called COLD HARD CASH. It stars the Suicide Girls and is loaded with blood, sex, and lots of unpleasant things! I fixed the link! [link]

love what that white awning does for your composition!
i indeed find him interesting and given the oppurtunity i'd happily chat with him, but alas, few and far between in oz
he looks like more of a mescaline sort of guy ;)

HaHA! Right you are. He's pictured all too easily hanging out with the cactus... I just figured the reference might be a bit too obscure for the kiddies round here =)

Few and far between in oz? I'll bet if you just keep your eyes peeled, you'll run into one or two sometime soon...

And hey, how's that loan coming?

uhuhuh they tend to float into isolation around here, in the north west they are affectionately know as "spinifex fairies" the women anyway... wandering the desert on a spiritual pilgremage, doofs are a nice meeting point for such characters around here... just dont seem to roam the streets.

application has gone through just waiting on the bank to contact me :fingerscrossed:

Holy shit. I think I know that man. If it really is him, his name is Jack and he used to do odd jobs for my dad when I was younger. He had a medicine bag and used to teach me 'old Native American tricks' for curing hicups. I guess the only way I'd be able to tell is if he took his glasses off... he had the bluest eyes I'd ever seen. It wouldn't surprise me if he were in Portland, though.
